I have taken pop can rings and use them to crochet over and make hotpads for people. I also take all different size container and crochet around them and put plants in them and give them as gifts. I also recyle my yarn if I do not use that afghan or baby afghan anymore and change the pattern to use again. I just helped a frine take apart a 3 piece suit to use the yarn to make some sweater instead because she did not wear them anymore.
